Date: 28 Sep 2026 (1 week ago)

International Halal Center (IHC)

The International Halal Center (IHC) is proud to have been among the participating parties in the International Grand Imams Conference 2026 (IGIC) in Indonesia, with its main programme in the capital Jakarta and further sessions in Palembang (25–28 September 2026). Under the theme “Masjid Harmony, Religious Diplomacy, and Global Peace,” the conference was a successful and impactful gathering of senior imams, religious leaders, and scholars from many countries.

Through the guidance of Dr. Abdullah Hito, President of the IHC Group, on this subject, the Center took part in IGIC as an extension of its engagement in official and governmental programmes that promote halal integrity, ethical leadership, and international cooperation — reflecting IHC’s pride in being active wherever values of true halal and responsible leadership are strengthened.

Through a member of the Sharia Committee, Dr. MHD Alaa Eddin Alsayek, IHC joined conference dialogues on religious diplomacy, the role of mosques in society, and paths towards global peace and coexistence.

Goals and vision

  • Strengthening cooperation among imams and religious leaders from different countries, so they can respond collectively to the wide range of global issues facing communities today;
  • Providing a cross-border space for dialogue that brings together different visions and experiences — which is precisely the role IGIC plays as an international forum;
  • Recording guidance and counsel and formulating strategic steps to confront global challenges and priorities, with outcomes that support harmony, unity, and sustainable peace.

Conference focus areas

  • Directing attention towards the values of Islam as a source of mercy, ethics, and guidance for humanity;
  • Developing an integrated programme to enhance the role of religious leaders in building comprehensive and inclusive social life;
  • Advancing a programme to strengthen international religious diplomacy among nations and faith communities;
  • Developing international communication networks among imams and religious leaders to share knowledge and coordinate action.

IHC values its presence at IGIC 2026 in Indonesia and remains committed to credible halal services and international cooperation worldwide.
