Stella Polaris is a Norwegian producer of cold-water shrimp based in Kårvikhamn near Finnsnes. The company was founded in 1968 and, together with Stella Polaris Norway, employs around 80 people. Its product range mainly includes cooked, peeled and frozen shrimp of the species Pandalus borealis, supplied worldwide to retailers, foodservice and industrial customers. Production is highly automated and offers full traceability from catch to finished product. HQC Halal certification complements the range with appropriately certified shrimp products for customers and markets with Halal requirements.
