The Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) is the statutory body established under the Administration of Islamic Organization Act B.E. 2540 (A.D. 1997). It is the competent authority responsible for the administration of Islamic affairs in Thailand, including Halal certification and recognition of foreign Halal certification bodies.

The Sheikhul-Islam (Chularajmontri) serves as President of CICOT, together with representatives of the Provincial Islamic Councils. Through its Halal Affairs Department, CICOT sets national Halal regulations, issues Halal product certification, and recognizes Foreign Halal Certification Bodies that comply with CICOT criteria and applicable Thai Halal standards.

International Halal Center (IHC) is officially recognized by the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT).
